Planning personnel can generate Unload plans by simply choosing
a track or a train and the top or bottom tier that needs
unloading.
Load plans can be generated either for a track or train and tier
or by choosing a destination hub for a train. Containers
allotted into the Load plans are through algorithms which ensure
dig free move sequence of containers when loading while
considering other factors like weight limits, cargo types etc.
Auto Work orders generation
When planning personnel approve discharge or load plans, the
corresponding work orders are auto generated and initiated.
The work orders can be directly transmitted to the ARMGs in
automated yards or to the handhelds of yard personnel who move
the containers to the rail cranes
Optimized move sequences
The Rail planning system is highly integrated with the Stacking,
Appointments and Vessel planning systems.
Unloaded containers are stacked such that they can be dig free
when they need to be picked up by a truck or is to be loaded
into a vessel.
Load containers have been stacked in such a way that they are
dig free when need to be moved to the rail loading area. In
automated yards the ground location is chosen to be the closest
possible to the well to be loaded.
