Yugaport's integrated Gating module uses the driver, truck and
chassis details collected during appointments setup to expedite
in-gating and out-gating.
Driver facial recognition software captures, verifies and
authenticates each in-gating truck automatically by cross
checking drivers license, truck license, RFID, OCR and other
IDs.
The need for regular gate clerks is made redundant, only
necessitating human intervention by trouble call clerks during
exception situations.
In-yard guidance
Once in-gated, mobile alerts guide drivers to their designated
drop-off and pick-up locations in conventional terminals and to
the right landside service lane in automated terminals.
In cases of container handling equipment breakdowns or
maintenance, Yugaport dynamically reassigns alternate drop-off
or pick-up locations and drivers are seamlessly alerted and
re-routed accordingly.
Terminal management personnel can send mobile alerts to drivers
if required.
Self-regulating traffic
Patent pending algorithms automatically control the number of
invites issued and appointments granted in real time by tightly
monitoring the traffic that is in-gating and out-gating the
terminal.
In-terminal traffic management is also configurable in real
time, by limiting the number of trucks per hour and / or the
maximum number of trucks allowable within the terminal during
peak times.
